About Us
A Worthy Love is a project rooted in spreading faith, hope, and love.
We work to empower all members of the LGBTQ+ community during their journey as an LGBTQ+ person as well as guide them in their walk with Jesus.
Our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ with all people, by letting them know that they are worthy of His love, regardless of gender identity and/or sexuality, and that they can have a relationship with Him that is as meaningful and fulfilling as those who are heterosexual or cisgender.
"And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love."
- 1 Corinthians 13:13
Our
Story
A Worthy Love has been created with the intent to spread faith, hope, and love to all members and allies of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community by sharing the message and good news of Jesus Christ.
We believe that everyone is worthy of the love of God, and no one should be excluded from that love because they are not cisgender* or heterosexual**. We also believe that the love between people who are not cisgender* or heterosexual** is just as worthy of God's blessings as the love between people who are.
We are currently working with members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community through social media and direct communication to share the loving message of Jesus with those who may have been harmed by or outcast from the Christian church in both the past and present, as well as those who are newly beginning their walk with Jesus. We have many goals we hope to achieve in the near future to continue healing and supporting the relationship that members of the LGBTQ+ community can and do have with Jesus Christ. Please see below to learn more about our future goals and how you can help.
*Cisgender: A person who's sense of personal identity and gender corresponds with their birth-sex.
**Heterosexual: Sexual attraction to someone of the opposite sex.
Our Founder
Andrew Carotenuto
Andrew is a pansexual, transgender man who has experienced both the positivity and negativity that has been directed toward members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community.
Unfortunately, the Christian Church and Religion have historically been a major cause of the discrimination, hate, and overall negativity the LGBTQ+ community has faced, despite the loving teachings of Jesus Christ. Thankfully, more and more churches, organizations, and Christians are working to resolve the damage that was caused in the past and is still being caused today.
Andrew believes that the first step to healing past wounds and preventing further damage is to embrace all members of the LGBTQ+ community with Jesus' love and teachings, while teaching others to be positive allies.

Our Goals
We have many goals we are working toward to continue spreading faith, hope, and love with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
These goals are currently our main focus:

In Person Bible Studies
Finding community is both an important part of a person's walk as a Christian and finding oneself within the LGBTQ+ community. We want to offer in-person Bible studies with those who want to get more involved in our community, have fellowship, and learn about the Bible together.
We plan to hold these meet ups as often as possible, free of charge, in places where we can share ideas, enjoy each others' company, delight in the love of Jesus, and maybe even share some treats.

Financial Aid & Housing
Many of the members of the LGBTQ+ community still suffer from discrimination and negativity from their families, friends, employers, and educators. Because of this, many LGBTQ+ people find themselves suffering financially, and even lose their jobs and homes. We would like to offer assistance by providing support to our community with financial aid programs, housing support, and other resources.

The Community Center
Having a safe space to freely be yourself is important for everyone, but can be especially difficult to find as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
We want to create a community center where LGBTQ+ people of all ages and backgrounds can come and have fellowship with other members of the community, enjoy a hot meal, or even grab some necessities they may not be able to afford or have access to at home. This community center will serve as a safe haven for many who may not feel safe in other parts of their life, or may simply want to get more involved in their community.

A New Church
Andrew, our founder, has had a calling to create a new church where people of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families can come worship and learn about God's love in a completely safe, encouraging, and positive environment. We hope that one day, in the not-so-far future, we will be able to create a church like this where our community can come and experience faith, hope, and love while freely being themselves.

If you would like to help us achieve these goals, please consider supporting us with a financial gift.
A Worthy Love is made possible through prayer and a commitment to bring the word of God and the love of Jesus to the LGBTQ+ community as we follow His plans for us and this ministry. We hope and pray that through the financial support of people like you we will be able to expand our outreach in the community.
"I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
- Jeremiah 29:11
